Learn effective DVD authoring with Encore DVD -- especially for Adobe Photoshop and Premiere fans. Start with drag-and-drop editing and built-in templates to quickly create a disc from scratch. Then use the Photoshop integration to design custom menus, buttons, and styles. Go beyond the usual with advanced tips for creating sophisticated navigation designs, background transcoding, and project management.

Audience: DVD authors who need a more professional tool that can graduate from quick drag-and-drop editing to provide deeper access to advanced DVD capabilities. Adobe Premiere Pro and Photoshop users who want to expand into DVD authoring.

This session will cover the latest up-to-date information on new DVD standards, including codecs, video formats, and whatever interactivity standards have been proposed/formalized by showtime. There are a lot of rumors and bogus information floating around about the upcoming HD-DVD and Blu-Ray standards. While a few authoring tools do currently exist for both HD-DVD and Blu-Ray formats, spend an hour and get the straight skinny on where the future of DVD is heading.

Audience: All DVD authors, regardless of your choice of authoring platform or experience. The topics covered in this session deal with emerging standards in future DVD specifications, and can be useful for all authors.
